Identifying Hazards in Production
To ensure occupational safety in mechanical manufacturing, the first vital step is for both managers and workers to identify potential hazards that could lead to accidents.Elimination & Substitution:
- Malfunctioning machinery must be labeled with "Out of Order" signs to prevent others from using them unknowingly.
- Select and purchase machinery with safe operating procedures and user-friendly interfaces.
Isolation:
- Ensure all dangerous parts and areas of the machine are fully guarded.
- Moving parts must be carefully shielded.
Engineering Controls:
When adjusting or repairing a machine, it must be turned off and allowed to come to a complete stop. Never use hands, sticks, or foreign objects to stop the machine. Safety devices must be checked before starting the equipment.
Administrative Controls:
- Only authorized and assigned personnel are permitted to operate and start the machinery.
- Arrange the factory floor layout to meet safety requirements for production.
- Fully and strictly implement safety requirements and regulations.
For a safe working environment, for the health of every worker, and for the sustainable growth of the enterprise, Intech Robotics always prioritizes ensuring occupational safety for all staff..
